This course discusses the safety and efficacy data available for the COVID-19 vaccines, including the mechanism of action, and a comparison of dosage, schedule, and storage for the available COVID-19 vaccines. Patient cases review recommended vaccines based on patient-specific factors and immunization recommendations.
Upon successful completion of this knowledge-based CPE course, pharmacists should be able to:
1. Compare and contrast the mechanism of action for the various COVID-19 vaccines available
2. Summarize the safety data for the COVID-19 vaccines available
3. Summarize the efficacy data for the COVID-19 vaccines available
4. Review a patient’s immunization history to make patient-specific immunization recommendations
