Managing Immunotherapy-Related Adverse Events: A Pharmacist's Role
A surge in the approval and use of immunotherapy agents highlights the importance of identifying and managing immunotherapy-related adverse events (irAEs). Pharmacists can increase their value on the interprofessional team by recognizing, managing, and monitoring common and rare irAEs. This course will review the pathophysiology, clinical presentation, diagnosis, monitoring, and management of irAEs associated with immune check point inhibitors. Learners will be informed and empowered to embrace their role in the care and management of patients treated with immunotherapy agents.
