Pharmacist Preceptor Written 1 credit hour

Clinical reasoning challenges are common in experiential education, particularly when learners struggle to apply knowledge, recognize patterns, or avoid cognitive bias in real-time patient care. This course discusses foundational concepts of clinical reasoning, explores evidence-supported teaching strategies, and provides practical examples—including structured methods and homegrown activities—to help preceptors better assess, coach, and support learners. You will gain tools to intentionally develop clinical reasoning skills in experiential settings and create individualized plans that promote learner growth and confidence.
