Understanding the clash between culture, class, and race is more important now than ever before. This course will provide you with the knowledge, skills, and resources to gain a deeper understanding of systemic racism, its impact on the Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) community, and how to leverage your role in the pharmacy profession to impact sustainable change.

This course discusses the history, biology, and genetics of race, as well as its existence as a social and power construct. Its purpose is to foster a better understanding of persistent racial disparities in economic, political, and social experiences and outcomes, including outcomes related to health.

Upon successful completion of this course, learners should be able to:
1. Apply a Growth Mindset to the historical notion of race and its impact on the BIPOC community
2. Value Respect as a basic human right for all and identify behaviors that create an inclusive environment
3. Define Accountability and create a personal growth plan
4. Demonstrate the skills to facilitate and engage in Courageous conversations
5. Examine the role of the pharmacy professional in addressing Equity in the profession and health disparities that impact marginalized communities
