Implementing Systems for Success: A Road Map for the Pharmacist-in-Charge

Implementing Systems for Success: A Road Map for the Pharmacist-in-Charge

As a wise pharmacist once said, “You can put a good pharmacist into a bad system and the system will win every time.” This course discusses the important role of the Pharmacist-in-Charge, and outlines a systems approach for the PIC to implement – setting their pharmacy practice up for success and avoiding regulatory discipline.

Upon successful completion of this knowledge-based CPE course, pharmacists should be able to:
1. List the responsibilities of the Pharmacist-in-Charge
2. Discuss the challenges a Pharmacist-in-Charge may face in meeting their regulatory compliance responsibilities
3. Discuss regulatory compliance strategies for a Pharmacist-in-Charge
