Fostering an Inclusive Environment: Creating a Safe Space for Learners

This course will equip pharmacy preceptors with the knowledge and skills needed to foster a safe and supportive environment for learners. Course participants will explore the principles of creating a safe space that encourages open dialogue, constructive feedback, and active engagement. Through case studies and practical strategies, preceptors will learn how to cultivate an atmosphere that promotes optimal learning, enhances communication, and builds mutual trust and respect. Take this course to become a more effective, inclusive, and empathetic preceptor.

Upon successful completion of this application-based CPE course, pharmacy preceptors should be able to:
1. Define psychological safety
2. Discuss the potential impacts of psychological safety in the learning environment
3. Describe strategies that promote psychological safety in the clinical learning environment
4. Create an action plan to enhance psychological safety in your learning environment
