This course provides an overview of the pharmacy and business continuity considerations that pharmacy professionals should incorporate into their business and emergency operation plans. This course also helps pharmacy professionals understand the expected role of pharmacy during disasters and disease outbreaks, and best practices to fill this role.

Upon successful completion of this course, learners should be able to:
1. Identify best practices for pharmacy preparedness and business continuity planning.
2. Describe actions that local, state, and federal governments may take that can impact pharmacy practice and patient care in emergency situations.
3. Identify roles and responsibilities for pharmacies and pharmacy staff (pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, etc.) following disasters.
