Pharmacist Preceptor On-Demand 1h

Everyone has a voice, but rarely do we pay attention to how it is perceived by those around us. As a result, we don’t know how to use our voice to develop relationships or precept and mentor others. In this session, you’ll learn your dominant voices and the dominant voices of those around you, laying the foundation to effectively engage and interact with your trainees and peers.

Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of this application-based CPE course, pharmacy preceptors should be able to:
1. Differentiate between five different communication styles or 5 Voices©.
2. Contrast feelings- and non-feelings-oriented voices to illustrate how to effectively interact with each.
3. Discuss how hearing and valuing others’ voices creates a positive environment for engaging in feedback.
4. Apply the 5 Voices© construct to preceptor/trainee case interactions.
