Pharmacist Compliance Written 1 credit hour

This two-part course fulfills the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) training requirements for Medicare Parts C and D Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) and General Compliance. The program provides an overview of key laws, regulations, and compliance expectations related to FWA prevention, detection, reporting, and correction, along with the structure and function of Medicare compliance programs. You will learn to recognize potential FWA violations, understand associated penalties, and apply compliant practices within Medicare Part C and D operations.

Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of this application-based CPE course, pharmacists should be able to:
1. Describe the characteristics and indicators of fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA) within the Medicare program as they relate to pharmacy practice.
