Pharmacist Immunization On-Demand 1h

This course is designed as a refresher course of recommended practices for immunization administration. Our expert faculty will review key elements of the administration process to ensure the provision of safe and effective immunization services for the community. Learners can expect discussion on appropriate administration site selection, needle specifics, vaccine administration records, necessary supplies, and essential patient counseling tips. This course is appropriate for any pharmacy team member who is a certified vaccinator.

Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of this knowledge-based CPE course, pharmacists should be able to:
1. Identify the roles of pharmacy team members and regulations for providing immunization services.
2. Recall best practices for proper vaccine administration, including site location, needle selection, and injection technique.
3. List supplies necessary for proper implementation of immunization services.
4. Describe accurate vaccine documentation in compliance with record-keeping regulations.
5. Discuss appropriate counseling topics to provide to patients both before and after the administration of an immunization.
