Pharmacist Law Written 1 credit hour

Making the right decision – legally and ethically – when faced with a pharmacy practice dilemma is critical. This course discusses the differences and similarities of pharmacy law and pharmacy ethics, and ways in which pharmacists must consult these sources of authority to meet the best interests of patients and the public they serve.

Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of this knowledge-based CPE course, pharmacists should be able to:
1. State the basic principles that serve as the foundation for pharmacy laws and pharmacy ethics.
2. Discuss strategies to comply with pharmacy law and ethical responsibilities within a contemporary pharmacy practice setting.
3. Describe policies and procedures that reflect legal and ethical responsibilities recognized by the pharmacy profession.
