When Less Is More: Once-Weekly Insulin for Type 2 Diabetes

When Less Is More: Once-Weekly Insulin for Type 2 Diabetes

Persistence to insulin therapy is a barrier to care in the management of individuals with diabetes. A once-weekly option may increase patient acceptability and persistence to insulin therapy. Join us to learn if a new tool in the toolbox of diabetes care may be coming.

Upon successful completion of this application-based course, participants should be able to:
1. Outline the role of insulin in the treatment of type 2 diabetes.
2. List barriers to persistence to insulin therapy
3. Differentiate between statistical and clinical significance within a clinical trial
4. Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of a clinical trial
5. Develop a conclusion for the clinical appropriateness of care based on a clinical trial
