Iowa Pharmacy Law Bootcamp: Education for Non-Resident Pharmacists
State laws and regulations vary from state to state. Pharmacists who are licensed and practice in multiple states may find it challenging to keep abreast of the regulatory differences between states. This course will assist non-resident pharmacists in gaining specific knowledge of Iowa state pharmacy laws and regulations.
Upon successful completion of this knowledge-based CPE course, pharmacists should be able to:
1. Describe licensing and reporting requirements
2. Articulate medication and patient safety standards
3. List compliance packaging standards
4. Describe compounding and hazardous drug handling standards
5. Discuss controlled substance dispensing and reporting requirements
