Technician Inclusivity On-Demand 1h

Although the LGBTQ population faces many of the same health issues affecting the general population, there are specific disparities these patients face due to stigma and discrimination. Pharmacy teams are an integral part of the healthcare team and have the opportunity to positively impact the health and wellness of patients in the LGBTQ community. By understanding some specific health care needs and identifying opportunities to promote wellness, pharmacy professionals can work to close the gap on these disparities. This course will provide pharmacists and pharmacy technicians an overview of healthcare disparities affecting the LGBTQ population. Strategies for improving clinical relationships and opportunities to promote wellness will be discussed.
